The Notre Dame is one of the most recognizable architectural masterpieces in the world; it is known for its flying buttresses, vaulted ceilings, and iconic rose windows. For me, this piece captures a moment in time. On our last day of our honeymoon, we took a river boat cruise on the Seine, and we tried to soak in all the views, one last time. The Notre Dame has recently been reopened on the interior, but the exterior was still being restored. It felt like the perfect metaphor of restoration and being made new. It was the perfect way to bookend our time there. I will never forget her beauty.
